#1 What is the difference between a Cinematographer and a Director of Photography?

In most real-world situations, the two job titles are interchangeable. However, it is more common in Malaysia to be called a Cinematographer, and more common in other countries such as America to be called a Director of Photography. Both are the head of the camera department who report directly to the director and also manages the Gaffer department (lighting), Electrical department/ chargeman, the grips department (physical camera movement, covering everything from a dolly, to cranes, to vehicle mounts.)
